On the evening of 27/12/2024, Gabriela Borges announced that she had accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Lucas Mozzatto Chaves, several days prior but only shared the happy news now. She wrote on her personal Instagram: "Among many dreams, I chose to live our dream. And the answer is 'Yes, I do'".

The proposal took place in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh, while the couple was cruising on a yacht. As Gabriela Borges was distracted, her boyfriend took out a ring, knelt, and expressed his love. They then shared a kiss amidst the romantic night scenery of the bay. "This moment will forever be etched in our memories", she said.
Gabriela Borges praised the landmark, recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site in 1994. She stated: "This place is famous for its emerald waters and nearly 2,000 limestone islands, offering activities like yachting, kayaking, cave exploration, and trekking. Located in Quang Ninh province, it is a top tourist destination with stunning landscapes, a rich ecosystem, and cultural heritage".
The couple has known each other for many years, often sharing sweet photos from their travels around the world. After their vacation in Vietnam, they traveled to Bali, Indonesia.
Gabriela Borges spent three weeks participating in the international beauty pageant, with various activities in Thua Thien Hue, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, and TP HCM. After concluding the competition on 20/12/2024 with a top 5 finish, Gabriela Borges took time to travel and explore Vietnamese culture and cuisine. She visited Hanoi, enjoyed coffee, and expressed her impression of the local way of life.

The 27-year-old beauty, standing at 1,73 m, is currently active in business, modeling, and content creation. She graduated with a degree in fashion, owns her own photography studio, and is preparing to launch her own design brand. Gabriela participates in numerous social and environmental projects, including reforestation efforts in Brazil and serving as an ambassador for Smile Train, an organization supporting children with cleft lip and palate. Before becoming Miss Brazil Cosmo 2025, Gabriela earned the title of first runner-up at Miss Grand Brazil 2022.

At Miss Cosmo 2025, Gabriela was considered a prominent candidate due to her physique and performance skills, according to many experts. Before the final night, numerous international beauty websites ranked her highly in their predictions. She also won Best in Swimsuit, one of the significant awards in the semifinals, and placed in the top 5 for Best Catwalk during the competition's fashion segment.
