The overseas vocalist, Nhu Quynh, also performed many patriotic songs such as "Lua Ve Dem Trang" by Pham The My and "Xuan Uoc Nguyen" by Thai Thinh and Tung Chau. During several performances, the audience sang along with the artist. Born Le Lam Quynh Nhu in Dong Ha, Quang Tri, Nhu Quynh, now 55 years old, gained significant recognition early in her career. In 1991, she won a special prize at the Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh Television Singing Contest, earning perfect scores with the song "Mua Xuan Tren Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh" by Xuan Hong. Following this, she began teaching vocal music to children. In 1993, she and her family relocated to the United States. A year later, she rose to stardom with two hit songs: "Nguoi Tinh Mua Dong" (Japanese music, Vietnamese lyrics by Anh Bang) and "Chuyen Hoa Sim" (Anh Bang's musical adaptation of Huu Loan's poetry). She currently resides alone in the United States and has one daughter.
