On this trip home, the beauty queen had the opportunity to admire the flower street. She and close photographer Minh Hoa conceived a spring photoshoot. "I am happy to immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere with everyone", Ly Thu Thao said.
Miss Ho Chi Minh City 1989 prepared a brocade ao dai, a bamboo fan, and a conical hat for her poses. At 56, she embraces a healthy lifestyle and appropriate exercise, maintaining her well-being and figure through aerobics and cycling.

She stated that this marks her first fashion photoshoot in her homeland since she settled in the US in 2000. In her younger days, Miss Ly Thu Thao was a famous "calendar beauty", known for many photo collections familiar to audiences.
After winning the crown, she appeared in films such as Sau nhung giac mo hong, Co tich 17, and Ngoc trong da.

Ly Thu Thao was impressed by the design and decoration of Nguyen Hue flower street. She particularly noted the mascot figures reflecting national culture, such as the grand scene of the "nine-maned horse", inspired by the Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh legend. "Vietnamese people, wherever they are, always look to their roots", she remarked.
