Recently, the musician has been busy with numerous school projects. He worked during the day and studied in the evenings. "For someone like me, who has never received formal training in music theory and only learned through practical experience, it was a quite stressful period," the musician stated.
He took ba subjects: music theory (Western classical music history, sight-singing, ear training), and instrumental performance (playing hai random pieces based on the prompt). For the vocal performance section, candidates had to sing hai Vietnamese and foreign songs. The musician chose to perform "Trong Com" and "Viet tiep cau chuyen hoa binh". He scored 5,17 in music theory and 8 points in vocal performance and instrumental performance.

The musician shared that he had long harbored a desire for formal music education, but for many years, work commitments and caring for his mother and young children had prevented him. Once his children were older and more independent, he resolved to return to academia to enhance his knowledge. "I've decided to put some work aside and manage my time effectively to complete my studies in 4 years. I am eager to return to school because most of my classmates are Gen Z," the musician stated.
Born in 1982 in Ho Chi Minh City, the composer is an alumnus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology. During his university years, he began composing and gained fame with songs like "Nguoi thay", "Vang trang khoc", "Dem trang tinh yeu", and "Ngoi nha hoa hong".
