In 2009, after graduating from the University of Theater and Cinema, Thuy Anh joined the theater and met Ngoc Quynh. At that time, she was a young, inexperienced actress, while Ngoc Quynh, 7 years her senior, had already appeared in many productions, including Hoa Co May. Thuy Anh was impressed by Ngoc Quynh's passion, seriousness, and meticulous dedication to the stage. Due to their work, they met almost daily, rehearsing, performing, and collaborating throughout their early careers.

The actress stated that her connection with Ngoc Quynh developed in an unpredictable way. Thuy Anh had attended Ngoc Quynh's two previous weddings as a colleague, offering her best wishes. "I never imagined that one day, I would be the one walking towards you," she said.

For her, the important thing was not whether they met early or late, but reaching a point where both were mature enough to understand what they needed in a relationship, tolerant enough to journey together, and certain enough to choose each other. The actress said in the video: "Nearly 20 years ago, I sat in the audience while you stood on stage. Today, I no longer stand below. Before publicly revealing her relationship with Ngoc Quynh in 2024, Thuy Anh had lived alone for many years, raising her son independently and believing she would not marry again. When feelings developed for Ngoc Quynh, she realized she still desired a happy home. She shared that Ngoc Quynh's warmth and sincerity brought her peace. "Our love did not begin with a special moment but grew from very ordinary things," Thuy Anh stated.

Currently, they reside in an apartment in Nguyen Trai, Hanoi, with Ngoc Quynh's eldest son and Thuy Anh's son. Both maintain good relationships with their respective stepchildren, sharing family care responsibilities. Beyond acting, Thuy Anh operates a beauty business, with support from Ngoc Quynh. The actress expressed her greatest current wish: "happiness with my partner for 40 more years."

Ngoc Quynh, 46, hails from Thuong Tin, Hanoi. While a student at the University of Culture, he followed a relative's advice to transfer to an arts school. During his first year at the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema, director Luu Trong Ninh cast him as Tien in Hoa Co May.

Upon graduation, he worked at the People's Public Security Drama Troupe and the Youth Theater before transferring to the Hanoi Drama Theater. In 2018, he earned a gold medal at the Capital Theater Festival for the play Ngoi Nha Trong Thanh Pho. In 2019, he received a Golden Kite Award for Best Lead Actor in the television category for the film Hoa Hong Tren Nguc Trai. His other roles include: Di Qua Ngay Giong Bao, Tin Vao Dieu Khong The, Tinh Yeu Khong Hen Truoc, and Mua La Rung.

Thuy Anh, 39, is a graduate of the Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. She has appeared in films such as: Nha Tro Balanha, Phong Vien Thu Viec, Xuc Xac Tinh Yeu, Tim Lai Ngay Da Mat, Sac Mau Phai Dep, and Goc Pho Muon Mau. On stage, she made her mark with roles like Hai Lien in Bi Vo and Miller toc vang in Nguoi Dan Ba Khong Ten. At the 5th International Experimental Theater Festival in 2025, she won a gold medal for her portrayal of Thoan in the play Dem Trang Dam Ha.
