The singer incorporates various traditional Vietnamese cultural elements, a recurring inspiration in his previous music videos. Throughout "Come My Way", dancers wear masks inspired by Xuan Pha folk dance. Director Phuong Vu also features other folk motifs, including Ly Dynasty dragon patterns, jade buffalo imagery, and the An Giang buffalo racing festival.
A notable segment takes place amidst the scenic Trang An landscape, where Son Tung M-TP and his masked dance group perform vibrant choreography on a small stage.
The track itself has an Afrobeats sound, a genre originating from West Africa, which blends hip-hop and contemporary pop. Son Tung M-TP utilizes auto-tune effects in some high-pitched sections. The song was co-written by Son Tung M-TP and producer Marvey Muzique, with English lyrics penned by Marvey Muzique and Tyga. Its lyrics convey a man's feelings about a life-changing relationship: "Call me your prisoner/ I'm jailed in your love I ain't coming out." According to the singer's media representative, this music video marks a strategic step in Son Tung M-TP's ongoing international expansion.

Born Nguyen Thanh Tung in 1994 in Thai Binh, Son Tung M-TP began his singing career with "Con Mua Ngang Qua" in 8/2011. In 2012, he graduated as valedictorian from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, mentored by musician Huy Tuan. He has since released a string of hit songs, including: "Lac Troi", "Chung Ta Khong Thuoc Ve Nhau", "Hay Trao Cho Anh", and "Dung Lam Trai Tim Anh Dau". In 2015, he starred in the film "Chang Trai Nam Ay", directed by Quang Huy, which grossed 60 billion VND.
Son Tung M-TP has received numerous accolades: Best Southeast Asian Artist at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2015, Single of the Year and Most Favorite Singer at Lan Song Xanh in 2015 and 2016 respectively, and Singer of the Year at Cong Hien 2016. He is the first Vietnamese artist to achieve 10 million subscribers on YouTube and has accumulated over 810 million streams on Spotify.
