According to Sina, the acclaimed actress announced the safe arrival of her second child to several friends on 22/7. She shared, "Our eldest daughter, Summer, said that our family will soon have four-person trips." Tang Wei’s father commemorated the birth by painting a small horse for his new grandson, as the baby was born in the Year of the Horse.

The actress first revealed her pregnancy in April, posting on Instagram, "This is a big surprise for me, and of course, I am very happy." During the early stages of her pregnancy, Tang Wei continued to film and participate in entertainment events and fashion shoots. However, she ceased all work commitments from May onwards.

Tang Wei and South Korean director Kim Tae Yong have been married for 11 years and have a 10-year-old daughter. The family primarily lives in Beijing, China, with Tang Wei's parents. She ensures her daughter visits her paternal grandparents every holiday. The star once disclosed that she and her husband chose to live near her maternal home because her parents are advanced in age and frail.
