A series of magazine cover photos of actress Thuy Tien, taken by photographers Doan Minh Tuan, Huu Tuan, and Duc Huy in the early 1990s, are being introduced to the public for the first time. These images were preserved on original film before being recently scanned and stored on hard drives.

Le Hong Thuy Tien, born in 1970, rose to prominence in 1990 with her role in "The Bitter Taste of Love". Co-starring with Le Cong Tuan Anh, the film became a sensation, setting a revenue record of approximately 500 million VND at the time.
"The Bitter Taste of Love" garnered critical acclaim, receiving numerous awards at the 1993 Vietnam Film Festival. These accolades included the Golden Lotus for "Best Director" (Le Xuan Hoang), "Best Actor" (Le Cong Tuan Anh), and "Best Film". The movie also earned the B Award from the Vietnam Cinema Association in 1993.
During that era, Thuy Tien's captivating image was ubiquitous, gracing newspaper stands, magazine covers, and pocket calendars. Her distinctive beauty, characterized by an oval face, clear eyes, sharp eyebrows, and full lips, left a lasting impression on audiences.
Photographer Doan Minh Tuan, who captured many beauties of the 1990s such as Viet Trinh, Diem Huong, and Mong Van, recalled photographing Thuy Tien. According to him, she stood out with her sharp, elegant beauty and strong personality.

After her initial success, Thuy Tien continued acting in films like "The Mad Girl" and "Me and You". However, these subsequent roles could not overshadow the iconic character Phuong from "The Bitter Taste of Love".

In 1993, after graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Thuy Tien concluded her acting career to become a flight attendant. This career change proved pivotal, as it led her to meet Filipino-Vietnamese businessman Jonathan Hanh Nguyen. They married in 2007 and have two children: fashionista Tien Nguyen, 29 years old, and Hieu Nguyen, 27 years old.

Following her marriage, Thuy Tien transitioned into the business world. She currently serves as CEO of a multi-sector business group and is a leading distributor of international luxury brands in Vietnam.
