The television series 'Journey to the West' began filming in 7/1982 and continued for six years. Since its initial release in 1986 (incomplete version), the work has garnered widespread acclaim across many Asian countries. The series follows Tang Sanzang and his three disciples as they overcome tribulations to obtain Buddhist scriptures. The cast also included Liu Xiao Ling Tong, Chi Chong Rui, Ma De Hua, and Yan Huai Li.

Yang Su is 56 years old this year and lives with her husband and two daughters in a villa in Beijing.

In a video on her personal page, Yang Su stated that her life has not always been smooth or peaceful. Fortunately, during difficult times, her husband and friends were always by her side.

The actress mentioned that by "reconciling with herself", she has learned to enjoy life more and feels that difficulties pass easily.

Yang Su has not acted for over 30 years. She previously worked as a marketing director at a company. She is now retired and often creates videos about fashion and beauty for middle-aged women.
