Actress Thuy Diem garnered attention at the premiere of the film Mesdames Thanh Sac, celebrating her husband's leading role, on 16/6 in TP HCM. Wearing a loose-fitting dress to conceal her pregnancy, she received well wishes and compliments on her appearance from colleagues like Kha Ly and Thanh Duy, and Le Phuong.
The happy news arrived when Thuy Diem and her husband least expected it. Initially, she didn't notice any signs of morning sickness, "just felt perpetually sleepy." Thuy Diem shared, "On the day we received the ultrasound results, my husband hugged me and cried because every year he wished for a new family member. Our first child, on the other hand, grinned widely, excited to become an older brother."

At six months pregnant, Thuy Diem mentioned she gained about 10 kg, exceeding 60 kg. During the first three months of pregnancy, she had a poor appetite, so her husband actively nourished her. Besides main meals, every evening, Luong The Thanh would prepare milk for his wife. Often, when she suddenly craved food in the middle of the night, he would rush out to buy her favorite dishes. He advised his wife to eat more, focus on resting, put aside less important tasks, and maintain good health for the baby's healthy development.
Thuy Diem feels her health is weaker compared to her first pregnancy, partly due to her age. Consequently, her husband limited acting and filming invitations to be by her side during the early stages of pregnancy. He drove her to work and waited until her morning sickness subsided before accepting a film role. Soon, after concluding promotional activities for Mesdames Thanh Sac, the couple plans to dedicate their time to each other and take their son on a vacation. They are meticulously planning for the baby's arrival, purchasing all necessary items from strollers to clothes. The actress stated, "We want to ensure the baby has the best possible conditions for development."
Thuy Diem is proud that her husband is more adept at childcare than she is. In the early days of raising their son Bao Bao, she often felt flustered. When their child spit up milk, she would panic, but her husband would advise her to stay calm and find a solution. Thanks to this, the actress feels at ease entrusting their child to her husband when she is away from home.
Luong The Thanh and his wife alternate roles to suit their living circumstances. When she is busy with many projects, he stays home to manage household duties while she works. They only discuss major expenditures; Thuy Diem manages daily living expenses. She said, "Whenever he receives payment, he always proactively gives it to his wife, keeping only a small amount for personal spending."
Working in the same field, they understand the nature of their jobs and empathize with each other's challenges. In the new film, Luong The Thanh plays Ba Dung, who has a complex relationship with Cam Thanh (portrayed by Thanh Hang), a beauty from the Kim Do nightclub in the 1960s. During filming, he often discussed the script with his wife, analyzing the characters' psychological development together. Seeing his pressure from performing his first "intimate" scene on the big screen, she advised him to take time to cultivate the emotions needed to easily connect with Thanh Hang.
Thuy Diem, born in 1986, is a prominent figure in southern Vietnamese television. She and Luong The Thanh, born in 1982, connected through their work, having collaborated in films such as Trai Tim Hoa Hong, Rau Muong Thang 9, Toi Yeu Co Don, Ranh Gioi Tinh Yeu, Sau Buc Tuong Lua, and Cat Do. The couple also performs at various drama theaters like Idecaf and Hoang Thai Thanh. They married in 2016 and welcomed their son, Bao Bao, more than one year later. In May, Thuy Diem announced her second pregnancy, coinciding with their 10th wedding anniversary.
