According to The Paper, on June 16, a Hong Kong court announced its verdict in the case where Du Duc Hung and AEG Entertainment Group Limited accused Truong Ba Chi of breach of contract. The court rejected all requests from the plaintiffs and ordered them to bear Truong Ba Chi's legal costs.
Du Duc Hung and AEG sued the actress in 2020. In their complaint, Du Duc Hung stated that he and Ba Chi collaborated from 2011 until early 2019. He claimed to have spent over HKD 40 million (more than VND 135 billion) to sign a contract with the actress, requiring her to star in six films requested by his company. In 2012, Du Duc Hung and Truong Ba Chi signed another contract for two more films, with the production company paying Ba Chi an advance of nearly HKD 2,8 million (VND 9,4 billion).
Du accused Truong Ba Chi of failing to honor the agreement, expressing disappointment in the actress and criticizing her for being "ungrateful and burning bridges". Du Duc Hung sought at least HKD 13 million (VND 44 billion) in compensation from Truong Ba Chi.

During the trial in late 2025, Truong Ba Chi testified that in 2014, Du created fake documents and unilaterally signed contracts with other companies using his management title, without consulting her. The actress also denied that Du Duc Hung had ever been her manager.
According to Ba Chi, during their collaboration, Du Duc Hung repeatedly threatened to "destroy her career" if she did not comply. In court, Truong Ba Chi was at times overcome with emotion, her voice choked, as she recounted being young and fearful of Du Duc Hung's potential to harm her.
The conflict between Truong Ba Chi and Du Duc Hung spanned many years. Du once posted a song on social media attacking Truong Ba Chi, with lyrics: "I know you are not clean, everyone avoids you. I know you act well, a dark past, yet I still believed your vows".
