Singer Trung Quan Idol has apologized after being accused of assaulting a woman in TP HCM, an incident he attributed to excessive alcohol consumption. Midday on 21/4, doctor Pham Minh Truong, identifying as the husband of Nguyen Linh Thuy, accused Trung Quan Idol. Truong stated that early morning the same day, at a location in Saigon ward, TP HCM, Trung Quan Idol's physical actions injured his wife's face and hand, leaving her in a state of mental panic.

Midday on 22/4, Trung Quan met Nguyen Linh Thuy to apologize directly. "I am truly remorseful and acknowledge my mistake, I bow my head to apologize to Linh Thuy and her husband Pham Minh Truong," he said. The woman's family confirmed they worked with Saigon ward police, TP HCM, morning on 22/4, and decided to forgive the singer. Trung Quan also apologized to his audience for disturbing them with negative news.

Earlier, evening on 21/4, Trung Quan Idol posted on his personal page, confirming the incident and stating it was due to his consumption of alcoholic beverages, which led to inappropriate behavior. He regarded this as a significant lesson regarding alcohol use. Minutes later, he deleted the post, stating he would wait to work with the police and apologize directly to those involved. Pham Minh Truong had stated he was collecting evidence, extracting camera footage, and creating a notarized record for a complaint to authorities.

Trung Quan gained attention in the Vietnam Idol 2008 competition. He has a high tenor voice. Audiences know him for hit songs like "Dau Mua" (Pham Toan Thang) and "Trot Yeu" (Ai Phuong). He is also known for his covers, which have received tens of millions of listens on YouTube, including "Ai Chung Tinh Duoc Mai" (Dong Thien Duc), "Co Don Tren Sofa" (Tang Duy Tan), and "Mua Thang 6" (Hua Kim Tuyen). Last year, 2023, Trung Quan performed his first liveshow, "1589", commemorating 15 years of singing.
