Adolescence is a period of beauty yet also significant change. During this time, teenagers navigate psychological and physiological shifts, parental expectations, academic demands, and peer relationships. Drawing from their personal journeys, Nguyen Thao Nhi and Nguyen Ngoc Minh Khue co-authored "Chuyen teen" to connect with and support their peers.
The book is structured into 12 chapters, addressing common teenage concerns. These topics include: academic stress, adolescent identity crises, the influence of digital environments, the journey of self-love, developing essential life skills, and practical study strategies for subjects like mathematics, literature, and English.
"Chuyen teen" is uniquely designed with two distinct sections, each offering one author's viewpoint. In her contribution, Thao Nhi explores personal experiences such as her first encounter with acne, adolescent anxieties, effective time management, strategies for reducing social media usage, and an environmental protection project she was involved in. She also details her methods for achieving medals in international mathematics and English competitions.

Thao Nhi reveals in her writing that diligence and consistent practice are key to her achievements, alongside her natural aptitude. She recounts the challenges of transitioning from a private to a public school in 8th grade, which required significant effort to adapt to the new curriculum. For literature, her advice for effective writing includes: selective reading, focused listening during lectures, utilizing mind maps for comprehension, regular writing practice, and cultivating emotional depth daily.
Minh Khue, the co-author, focuses her sections on essential life skills for the digital era. She candidly shares her struggle with digital distraction, admitting to frequently getting sidetracked by her phone while attempting to study. Over time, Minh Khue developed strategies, such as keeping her phone out of reach during study sessions and avoiding idle screen time. She also addresses the subtle pressures created when parents post their children's achievements online, inadvertently setting up a "comparison trap" for other young people. Furthermore, Minh Khue explores universal teenage experiences like first crushes and heartbreaks.
Nguyen Thao Nhi expresses her hope that readers will find empathy and guidance for self-understanding and overcoming adolescent challenges through the book's narratives, acknowledging that some issues are difficult to discuss with parents or teachers. Minh Khue, in turn, wishes for her writing to promote positive values such as family love, friendship, and gratitude towards educators, inspiring young readers to become responsible digital citizens.
