According to Vogue, the gown was crafted by Dior over six months. Li Hongba, an artisan at Dior's haute couture workshop, stated that the fabric was inherently lustrous like pearls. The design drew inspiration from ceramics, embodying a minimalist and pure aesthetic, as per the bride's preference.

Xi Mengyao was surprised when trying on the gown, stating she was most impressed by the open back, having never seen a wedding dress designed that way. In recent days, topics related to Xi Mengyao's wedding dress and ceremony have consistently topped the trending lists on Weibo.
