Vuong Binh, Thuy Chi harmonize on hit 'Thanh Tan'

Singer Vuong Binh invited Thuy Chi to duet, creating a new version of 'Thanh Tan' – a song that garnered attention in the music scene earlier this year.

Vuong Binh immediately thought of Thuy Chi when planning the new version, confident her vocal style and musical approach were suitable. "As a student, I listened to her songs and admired her. When I began my career, I dreamed of collaborating with my idol. Her quick agreement to my request overwhelmed me with joy," Vuong Binh said.

Thuy Chi joined the project because she liked the song's spirit and wanted to support the Gen Z singer.

The song is from Vuong Binh's album "Anh bo vai". Young audiences embrace it, with millions of listens and thousands of TikTok videos using it as background music. It previously topped iTunes Vietnam's listen charts and appeared on Spotify and Apple Music's daily most-listened rankings.

'Thanh Tan' is a ballad, depicting a young man rediscovering the initial sensations of love. The author explains the song evokes memories and offers an adult perspective on past hurts.

Vuong Binh, 30, whose real name is Ngo Nguyen Binh, spent over three years with Monstar. Audiences knew him from tracks like 'Co hen voi thanh xuan' (68 million views) and 'Badadu' (5 million). After the group disbanded, he changed his stage name from Zino to Vuong Binh. In 2025, he competed in 'Anh trai say hi', reaching the finals.
