A proper diet for mothers and children, especially during pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and for children under 5 years old, is crucial for children's health and overall development. However, not all mothers or families have the knowledge or time to plan balanced, nutritious meals.
With over 100 years of experience in food and health from Ajinomoto Group (Japan), Ajinomoto Vietnam is committed to contributing to the collective efforts of families and society to improve maternal and child nutrition. Since 5/2018, the company has collaborated with the Maternal and Child Health Department (formerly the Maternal and Child Health Division) and the National Institute of Nutrition to develop content for the "Balanced Nutrition Menu Development Software for Pregnant Women, Breastfeeding Mothers, and Children from 7 to 60 Months Old," along with other content within the Maternal and Child Nutrition Program, aiming to enhance maternal and child nutrition and health in Vietnam.
To date, over 21,000 health workers and more than 1.7 million mothers nationwide have accessed and used the software's content.

At the conference on 15/8, healthcare staff responsible for maternal and child health from public hospitals, medical centers, and private polyclinics in Vinh Long received training from Ajinomoto Vietnam's technical advisors on the software's content and significance. This will enable health workers to apply it to their maternal and child nutrition work, contributing to improving the stature of future Vietnamese generations.
The software provides a bank of balanced nutrition menus for mothers and children under 5, with over 2,000 dishes researched and developed for each stage, from the beginning of pregnancy to breastfeeding for mothers, and from 7 to under 60 months old for children.
The software also offers home health monitoring tools and nutritional knowledge compiled by experts. Users simply need to register an account on the maternal and child nutrition website to access all features free of charge.
