On 23/6, a representative from Thong Nhat Hospital reported that the patient developed hives across his body, severe itching, difficulty breathing, and his blood pressure dropped to 85/50 mmHg. Doctors diagnosed the patient with grade 3 anaphylaxis, administered adrenalin, and applied emergency resuscitation measures. The patient's health is currently improving, with stable pulse and blood pressure.
Doctor Tran Thi Quynh Nga from the Intensive Care and Anti-poisoning Department stated that many individuals can develop severe allergic reactions even after consuming the same food multiple times without issue.
"Some people regularly eat seafood, fish, shrimp, and crab without any problems, but then suddenly experience a severe allergic reaction", the doctor explained.

Anaphylaxis is a severe hypersensitivity reaction that can develop rapidly and be fatal if not promptly detected and treated. Common triggers include medications, food, insect venom, and other factors.
Warning signs include hives, itching, rash, swelling of the lips or tongue, difficulty breathing, wheezing, dizziness, or lightheadedness after eating, taking medication, or exposure to a suspected allergen. If severe symptoms appear, such as progressively worsening difficulty breathing, chest tightness, a drop in blood pressure, drowsiness, or fainting, immediate medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility is required.
Doctors advise against underestimating allergic signs after consuming food or medication. Early recognition and timely emergency care are crucial factors in reducing the risk of severe complications and death.
