Proactive blood glucose monitoring with the 3P continuous glucose monitor

The 3P continuous glucose monitor has recently added three features: "flexible alert threshold settings", "device status", and "proactive notifications", enhancing user convenience for blood glucose monitoring.

The 3P continuous glucose monitor, developed by FPT, is a solution comprising a sensor, data transmitter, and the FPT MediCare application. This device enables continuous 24/7 glucose monitoring without the need for finger-pricks. Data automatically updates and displays visually in chart form, helping users better understand their daily blood glucose trends.

Beyond measurement accuracy, users increasingly prioritize connection stability and quick support when issues arise. Addressing these practical needs, FPT MediCare has integrated three new features: "flexible alert threshold settings", "device status", and "proactive notifications".

Flexible alert threshold settings: personalized to user needs

The flexible alert threshold settings feature ensures users receive timely notifications when blood glucose levels rise or fall, reducing the risk of dangerous situations.

Users can adjust high and low blood glucose alert thresholds based on their individual condition or doctor's recommendations. The system allows customization of alert thresholds to suit different treatment stages. Specifically, the high alert threshold can be set between 120-500 mg/dL (equivalent to 6,7-27,8 mmol/L), while the low alert threshold is flexibly set between 60-100 mg/dL (equivalent to 3,3-5,6 mmol/L), empowering users to manage their blood glucose according to personal goals.

Notably, a "very low" alert level is defaulted below 54 mg/dL (equivalent to 3,0 mmol/L) to ensure users receive early warnings in high-risk situations.

Users can also actively enable or disable alerts within the FPT MediCare application, depending on their preferences.

An FPT representative stated that personalizing alert thresholds not only increases setup flexibility but also helps users proactively manage their blood glucose, aligning with individual treatment goals and health conditions.

Device status: minimizing usage interruptions

With the "device status" feature, users can check their device's condition directly within the FPT MediCare application. If an issue arises, such as a bluetooth disconnection, synchronization status, or alert delivery problem, the system displays the error status and provides corresponding troubleshooting instructions.

This feature eliminates user worry about device operation or the need to guess error causes. Users can quickly identify and resolve problems following instructions, minimizing interruptions during the use of the 3P continuous glucose monitor. This feature is particularly helpful for those new to technology devices or the elderly.

Feedback from pilot users indicates that the ability to self-check and fix basic errors increases their confidence in using the device and reduces reliance on external support for simple situations.

Proactive notifications: enhancing user-provider connection

The FPT MediCare application also includes a feature for sending direct notifications to users. Through this, the customer care team can proactively send information regarding benefits, technical support, promotional programs, or other necessary announcements directly to users within the application. Users can respond directly, creating a two-way interaction channel during use. This ensures users receive information from an official, verified source, reducing confusion or missed important notifications from various sources.

Integrating the notification feature also bridges the gap between users and service providers, ensuring that issues arising during product use are received and handled more efficiently.

According to an FPT representative, the three new features were developed based on actual user needs for continuous blood glucose monitoring. "We aim not only to provide measurement readings but also to build a comprehensive support ecosystem where users can proactively control their devices, maintain stable connections, and receive timely support when needed," the FPT representative stated.

The representative added that FPT plans to further enhance the application's tools, expand personalization capabilities, and strengthen two-way interaction. The goal is to help users adopt proactive health monitoring habits and feel more confident with technological support.
