On 27/6, Vinmec Healthcare System inaugurated its high-tech robot surgery center system, connecting hospitals across its entire network. Vinmec Times City General Hospital serves as the professional coordination center, linking with robot surgery centers at Vinmec Smart City, Vinmec Da Nang, Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Can Tho, and other hospitals within the system.

Specifically, in general surgery, Vinmec operates integrated systems: Da Vinci Xi (Vinmec Times City), Hugo RAS (Vinmec Da Nang, Vinmec Central Park), and Toumai MT-1000 (Vinmec Smart City, Vinmec Can Tho). This combination allows surgeons to effectively access deep anatomical locations, perform intricate maneuvers in confined spaces with high accuracy, and select the most suitable technology for each condition and patient. Notably, the Toumai MT-1000 enables remote surgery via 5G connectivity, laying the groundwork for future healthcare models.

In orthopedic trauma, Vinmec has invested in integrated new-generation joint replacement robots: ROSA (Vinmec Smart City), MISSO (Vinmec Times City, Vinmec Can Tho), and CORI (Vinmec Ocean Park 2, Vinmec Hai Phong, Vinmec Da Nang, Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Phu Quoc, Vinmec Nha Trang). These technologies enable treatment planning based on each patient's unique anatomical characteristics, assisting with joint positioning and alignment with millimeter precision, contributing to optimized treatment outcomes and reduced post-surgical recovery time.

In neurosurgery and spinal surgery, the technology complex of StealthStation S8, the Mazor X Stealth Edition robot, and the O-arm with StealthStation O2 system (Vinmec Smart City, Vinmec Da Nang) provides real-time guidance, navigation, and image verification during surgery. This allows surgeons to precisely access complex anatomical structures, enhancing safety and minimizing complication risks in high-tech interventions.

Professor Doctor Tran Trung Dung, General Director of Vinmec Healthcare System, stated that the high-tech robot surgery center system is implemented with a multi-connected model. This includes connecting experts, hospitals, and leading global technology partners within a single ecosystem. The center's goal is to provide patients in Vietnam with access to the most advanced surgical achievements and gradually establish Vietnam as a new destination for high-tech medicine and precision surgery in the region.

According to Associate Professor Doctor Pham Van Binh, Director of the High-Tech Robot Surgery Center, Vinmec Healthcare System, and Director of Vinmec Times City International General Hospital, the core value of the center lies not only in its modern robot systems but also in its ability to transform technology into sustainable professional capability.

"We aim to develop a treatment center while also establishing an academic unit for robot surgery, combining clinical practice, academic training, scientific research, and technology transfer, with the participation of leading Vietnamese and international robot surgery experts," Associate Professor Binh shared.

Vinmec also developed a "3-in-1" robot surgery model comprising: personalization, automation, and standardization. This model features pre-surgical 3D simulated treatment plans, supported by AI-integrated robot systems and international standard treatment protocols. This system is operated by a team of experts with international robot surgery certifications to ensure professional quality and patient safety.

Alongside the center's operational launch, Vinmec established the Robot Surgery Patient Support Fund with nearly 300 billion VND in funding from Vingroup Group. The fund is expected to help reduce cost barriers, expanding access to advanced surgical techniques for people nationwide, especially for patients facing financial difficulties.

According to a Vinmec representative, the establishment of the high-tech robot surgery center system not only marks a new milestone in Vinmec's development journey but also contributes to advancing Vietnam's surgery transformation into an era of precision, personalized, and high-tech surgery.
