On 2/9, the Hanoi City Police launched three digital transformation products and solutions aimed at enhancing security and order. These initiatives include: a wireless fire alarm production line, designed to ensure supply, optimize costs, and broaden public access; the Hanoi Smart Police application, currently being piloted on the iHanoi platform; and a UAV surveillance solution for security and order, which has now entered giai doan 2 following a trial period.
Hanoi Police anticipates that these three products will not only boost their command, operational, and incident handling capabilities but also effectively address public needs. Through these software solutions, the police will receive and resolve on-site reports concerning security and order, prevent congestion, address traffic violations, and provide early warnings for fire and explosion risks.

The Hanoi Smart Police app offers citizens a range of features, including: reporting incidents and submitting information related to security and order; activating emergency SOS signals; booking appointments with police agencies and rating satisfaction levels; looking up police agency headquarters, local police, and duty officer phone numbers; identifying parking spots; and accessing fire prevention and fighting violation information.
Furthermore, users can stay informed about traffic conditions, congestion, flooding, accident blackspots, and road closure warnings. The app also allows for monitoring traffic cameras, accessing public awareness campaigns on security and order, and utilizing virtual assistants and AI chatbots for information lookup.
Hanoi Police stated that the Hanoi Smart Police app will serve as a two-way digital interaction channel between the city police and citizens. This initiative aims to reduce the time citizens spend searching for information and contacting the police, while also enabling them to proactively access traffic, security, and order alerts.
Drone Surveillance for Traffic
The solution employs unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) integrated with cameras and AI technology to support widespread urban order and traffic safety surveillance. These UAVs are capable of identifying violations, congestion, collisions, fires, or unusual smoke.
When UAVs are operational, citizens will receive early alerts regarding congestion, accidents, and urban order violations. This technology also facilitates faster traffic diversion and on-site support. Police trials on various routes have shown a reduction in violations and improved public compliance.

The wireless fire alarm production line is designed to meet the demands of households, production facilities, and buildings. Police consider this a practical preventative solution, bringing fire warnings closer to every household and facility.
With this production line, citizens gain access to fire alarm devices suitable for their practical needs and at a more reasonable cost. Families and businesses will receive early warnings when fire risks emerge. This ultimately increases evacuation time, allows for informing authorities, and organizing initial firefighting efforts, thereby contributing to reducing human and property losses.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, directed units to coordinate and guide citizens in installing and effectively using the Hanoi Smart Police application. He also called for the dissemination of the wireless fire alarm model to every alley and household. Additionally, he urged the rapid deployment of giai doan 2 of the UAV security and order surveillance project and the emergency command project for the 21,671 AI camera system as scheduled.
