Hanoi massage parlor uncovered for prostitution

At the Dong Do massage parlor located in the basement of the Grand Vista Hotel, female employees were found offering sexual services on towels spread on the floor for 2-3 million VND.

Hanoi police are investigating five individuals for prostitution-related offenses at the Dong Do massage parlor. The investigation, launched on 26/7, involves Pham Tuan Thinh, 26, the registered owner of Dong Do; Nguyen Van Ninh, 36; Nguyen Thanh Trung, 40; Le Duc Trung, 30; and Nguyen Thuy Hang, 28. The latter four are suspected of overseeing staff, managing reception, and handling finances at the establishment located in the B2 basement of the Grand Vista Hotel at 146 Giang Vo, Giang Vo Ward.

While Dong Do has been operating since 2022, authorities allege that recently, management permitted employees to negotiate and sell sex directly to customers. The agreed-upon price for these services ranged from 2-3 million VND, excluding the 1 million VND massage fee. To maintain discretion within the enclosed massage rooms, staff were instructed to use towels on the floor. This created a closed system for the illicit activities.

The group used walkie-talkies to alert each other during inspections. This allowed them to warn staff and customers by knocking on individual room doors.
