On 21/8, 38-year-old Huy and 37-year-old Binh were detained by Vinh Long provincial police for alleged theft, under Article 173 of the penal code.

Early on 19/8, Huy and Binh drove along National Highway 57 (the old Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province), using stun guns to steal 14 dogs from roadside homes. They put the dogs in the trunk of their car and drove off to sell them.

A patrol from the Loc Thuan commune police, while conducting a security check, noticed Huy's five-seater car looked suspicious and stopped it. The police seized the dead dogs, weighing nearly 180 kg, along with several stun guns and a set of license plates.

The investigation is ongoing.
