On 1/4, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency (C01) under the Ministry of Public Security issued its investigation conclusions, recommending the prosecution of Nguyen Phong, chairman of Asia Life Joint Stock Company, and his wife, Nguyen Pham Hong Vy, director of Asia Life Company, for producing counterfeit food.
Under the same charge, C01 recommended prosecuting five other Asia Life Company employees: Tu Kien Trung, production factory director; Pham Thi Diem Trinh, head of product research and development; Truong Thi Le, head of quality assurance and control; Tran Thi Le Thu, head of production; and Le Thi Thu Hien, planning staff.
Nguyen Pham Hong Vy and Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong, Asia Life Company's chief accountant, are additionally recommended for prosecution on charges of tax evasion.
This is the second case separated from a larger counterfeit production investigation involving Miss Nguyen Truc Thuy Tien, Quang Linh Vlogs, and Hang Du Muc.

According to the investigation conclusions, Asia Life Company's main business is producing and trading food, and manufacturing dietary supplements. While processing four dietary supplement products for a partner, Asia Life allegedly used ingredients that did not match the declared documentation, with significantly lower content than registered.
From 7/2024 to 3/2025, Phong's company is accused of producing Kera vegetable candy and 12 other counterfeit food products, negatively impacting consumer health.

Investigators determined that Nguyen Phong, as chairman of the board of directors, directed subordinates to create product manufacturing formulas and coordinate the self-declaration of products. This group then transferred the information to the organizational department for production.
For four products, which were found to have less than 70% of the declared content and were identified as counterfeit, with a total value of 6.6 billion VND, director Phong is accused of illegally profiting 3.3 billion VND.
To evade state regulatory agencies, Phong allegedly instructed subordinates to create falsified production records to match the declared product documentation. During the investigation, authorities noted Phong's candid cooperation, and he and his wife voluntarily paid 5 billion VND to mitigate the consequences.
Regarding suspect Vy, investigators determined that in addition to producing counterfeit goods with her husband, she also instructed the chief accountant to use personal accounts to receive sales revenue. Vy did not issue invoices or declare 16 billion VND in revenue during 2023 and 2024.
Vy's actions were allegedly aimed at evading value-added tax and corporate income tax, causing a loss of 3.3 billion VND in tax revenue for the state.
