Khanh was arrested on 27/6 in Ho Chi Minh City and is being investigated for disturbing the peace.
The incident began late on 22/6, when Viet, 38, returned to his home in Binh Hung Hoa ward (Binh Tan district) and heard loud karaoke music coming from the adjacent garment factory owned by Khanh. Annoyed by the noise, Viet called Khanh and asked him to lower the volume.

Khanh, who was drinking with friends at the time, reacted angrily to the call and shouted "I'll be right there." Seeing that Khanh was intoxicated, one of his friends drove him home.
Instead of asking his employees to stop singing, Khanh and his friends went to Viet's house to confront him. Finding the door locked, Khanh yelled for Viet, picked up a bag of trash from in front of Viet's house, and threw it at the security camera.
When Viet opened the door, Khanh shoved it, causing the hinges to break and the gate to collapse. After the outburst, Khanh continued to stand in front of Viet's house, demanding to "talk," but left after being restrained.
The entire incident was captured by the security camera and the footage was widely circulated on social media. Police investigated and subsequently arrested Khanh.
