Viet was detained by Khanh Hoa provincial police on 23/6 for assaulting a healthcare worker.

Last night, Viet was brought to Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital by a man. After an examination, doctors determined Viet was healthy, but he claimed to feel unwell and wanted to be admitted.

Doctors explained that due to overcrowding, Viet would have to sleep on a cot if admitted. He refused and demanded an ambulance transfer to Saigon - Nha Trang Hospital.

While staff contacted the man who brought Viet to the hospital, Viet became agitated and punched a nurse on duty.

Security personnel subdued Viet and contacted Loc Tho ward police.

Viet confessed to the assault at the police station.
