Last week, Duoc rode his motorbike through hospitals in the Bien Hoa urban area, seeking theft opportunities. Arriving at Zone B of Dong Nai Hospital, he took advantage of an unguarded moment to pry open the motorbike trunk of a female patient who was there for a check-up. He stole over one billion dong, 11 chi of 9999 gold, a pair of white gold earrings, a land use rights certificate, three savings passbooks, and other personal documents.

The woman discovered her missing assets when she retrieved her motorbike and immediately reported it to Tam Hiep Ward police. Through investigation, police identified Duoc as the suspect. One week later, detectives apprehended Duoc and seized the evidence.

Confessing to the police, Duoc stated that after the theft, he parked his motorbike and bought a used motorbike to escape. That evening, he took 500 million dong and went out with his girlfriend, buying her gifts.
