Director of company organizing 've day bon canh chim troi' program indicted

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, director of Ngoc Viet Education company – the organizer of the 've day bon canh chim troi' program – has been indicted on fraud charges.

On 30/12, the Hanoi Police Investigation Agency announced its decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Thi Thu Ha. She faces investigation into fraud and appropriation of property, stemming from her role as director of Ngoc Viet Education Company Limited.

Ha serves as the director and legal representative of Ngoc Viet Education Company Limited, a firm specializing in composition, art, and entertainment. The charges relate to the company's organization of the "ve day bon canh chim troi" art performance.

Preparation for the "ve day bon canh chim troi" program began around 6/2025. This significant music event, scheduled for 20:00 on 28/12 at the indoor athletics arena on Tran Huu Duc street, Tu Liem ward, garnered widespread interest. It was set to feature compositions by renowned late musicians Van Cao, Trinh Cong Son, and Pham Duy, along with musician Tran Tien. Many famous singers and artists, including Tran Thu Ha, Hong Nhung, Doan Trang, Pham Thu Ha, Lam Bao Ngoc, Huynh Tan Minh, Le Hieu, Vu Thang Loi, and Thanh Thuy, were directly contracted by Ngoc Viet Company to perform. Ticket sales commenced on 11/10 through various channels.

However, Hanoi police determined that Ha continued to orchestrate ticket sales and collect money from the audience, despite knowing the performance did not meet the conditions to proceed. She allegedly instructed staff to announce the program would still go ahead as planned.

On the scheduled day, Ha instructed the opening of the arena to admit audience members, asking them to wait until 20:30. Shortly after, a representative of Ngoc Viet Company announced the program's cancellation. This incident sparked outrage among many attendees, who demanded ticket refunds and subsequently filed reports with the police.
