On the evening of 10/7, the man was riding a Wave motorbike with a female passenger. He performed a five-second wheelie on Phan Dinh Phung street near a supermarket. A bystander filmed the incident and reported it to the authorities.

The man admitted to the violation and pledged not to repeat it. The police confiscated his motorbike and issued a fine, citing Decree 168/2024, Article 7, Clause 11.

This decree allows authorities to confiscate vehicles if the driver performs stunts like wheelies, rides with no hands, uses their feet to steer, sits sideways or lies on the seat while driving, switches drivers while moving, turns to face backwards, drives blindfolded, or repeats weaving through traffic.
