Four teenagers have been arrested in Da Nang for a string of robberies, using knives to threaten victims and stealing their belongings.

The arrests followed an incident on 18/8 where a 16-year-old was robbed of his iPhone 12 Pro. The victim was walking through Ban Thach ward when the group stopped him, brandished a knife, and stole his phone.

Within 48 hours, police tracked down and apprehended the four suspects. They recovered two phones, a motorcycle without a license plate, and the knife used in the crimes.

Prior to the Ban Thach incident, the group had committed three similar robberies in Huong Tra and Quang Phu wards. Their method involved riding an unlicensed motorcycle, approaching lone pedestrians, and pretending to borrow a phone. If the victim hesitated, they would pull out a knife and steal their valuables.

After each robbery, the group fled to different districts like Thang Binh, Hiep Duc, and Que Son to evade capture. They were even planning to continue their crime spree in Hue.
