On 14/7, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Investigative Police Agency had prosecuted and detained Le Hoang, Deputy Director of the Preventive Medicine Department (former head of the Standards Management and Testing Division, Food Safety Administration), Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan, head of the Standards Management and Testing Division, and three officials from the Food Poisoning Surveillance and Communication Division: Pham Van Hinh (head), La Thai Binh (deputy head), and Dinh Cao Cuong (specialist). They are being investigated for bribery.
The same charges have been brought against Pham Tuyet Mai, an officer of the Vietnam Codex Committee Office; Pham Duy Binh and Nguyen Thi Minh, former and current specialists at the Food Safety Application and Training Center; Hoang Thanh Ha, deputy head of the Food Product Management Division; and Le Van Nam, a specialist in the same division.

In the same case, authorities also prosecuted and detained Nguyen Thanh Phong, former director of the Food Safety Administration, and four officials from the administration: Dinh Quang Minh (director of the Food Safety Application and Training Center), Nguyen Thi Minh Hai (deputy director of the center), Le Thi Hien (specialist), and Cao Van Trung (deputy head of the Food Poisoning Surveillance Division). These individuals are also being investigated for bribery.
These five individuals were previously prosecuted by C03 in a case related to MEDIUSA Company.
On charges of offering bribes, police prosecuted and detained Pham Thi Loan, director of Canada Vietnam International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, and Tran Quang Hai, director and legal representative of Fosy International Food Service Joint Stock Company. Nguyen Quang Hung, general director of Novaco Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, is being investigated for forging documents of agencies and organizations.
According to the police, the prosecution of these 18 individuals is part of an investigation into forgery of documents of agencies and organizations, bribery, and bribery brokering, occurring at TSL Science Co. Ltd. and related agencies and organizations.
