On the evening of 15/1, Tay Ninh Provincial Police announced the dismantling of a fake gas production ring. This operation targeted illicit manufacturing of gas under major brands such as Total Energies, Eif Gas, H-Gas, VT-Gas, SaiGon Petro, MT Gas, and Vimexco Gas.

Police detained 16 individuals linked to the ring, including three people identified as its leaders.

Yesterday noon, officers simultaneously raided 12 collection points. The seizures included over 6,200 empty cylinders, more than 4,500 gas cylinders of various types, nearly 23,000 shrink wraps, over 27,000 stamps and plastic caps, along with 10 sets of pumps, compressors, and blowtorches, 20 trucks, and numerous storage tanks.

The case is currently under expanded investigation.
