Authorities allege this dangerous group operated under the guise of a business, with limited legitimate commercial activity, but deeply involved in land auctions and construction bidding. Under Y's leadership, his associates allegedly threatened and attacked rivals to secure bids.

Three days ago, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police searched Y's home on Quang Trung street, Hac Thanh ward, also the location of "Dat Y" real estate, a company founded by Y.

Y "Eng" is the younger brother of Bui Quoc Dat (Dat "Ma"), a notorious Thanh Hoa gang leader currently serving a prison sentence.

Dat, Y, and other gangs led by Tuan "Than Den" and Vi "Ngo" controlled different territories and were considered leading figures in Thanh Hoa's underworld for years. All have been arrested.

Provincial police announced a large-scale operation to crack down on organized crime.
