On 30/1, Hanoi City Police announced the discovery of the operation by its Economic Security Department, in collaboration with Market Management Team No. 14 – Hanoi Market Management Department.

On 29/1, at approximately 6h30, authorities inspected a processing facility of Dung Phat Production and Trading Company Limited in Van Phuc hamlet, Nam Phu commune. They found the facility processing and selling pig intestines with unclear origins. Most of the intestines were discolored, emitted a foul odor, and failed to meet food safety standards.
Inside the cold storage, authorities found approximately 59 tons of raw intestines, frozen in ba containers for 4-6 months. Additionally, mot ton of intestines was undergoing pre-processing, and 3,6 tons were finished products.
The warehouse also contained tons of finished products, including sausage casings and Chinese sausages, ready for market distribution.
Investigators also found various grains and powders of unknown origin at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate the entire batch of goods was acquired from various unregulated sources, including individuals and some businesses. The facility owner could not provide invoices or documents for the merchandise.

Authorities have temporarily seized all the goods for further investigation and processing.
