On 12/8, Phu Tho Provincial Police announced the prosecution of Vu Manh Dai, 33, for violating road traffic regulations.
Investigations revealed that on the night of 5/6, Dai was operating a passenger bus traveling on the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho highway, heading from Phu Tho to Tuyen Quang. Upon reaching Van Phu village, Tay Coc commune, Phu Tho province, the driver stopped to pick up and drop off passengers at an undesignated spot, specifically on the highway itself.
At the moment Dai opened the door for a passenger to alight, the vehicle was still in motion, had not come to a complete stop, and safety was not ensured. A 33-year-old female passenger, a resident of Tay Coc commune, fell while stepping down from the bus and died.
