On 10/1, Dong Nai Police announced the recall of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen. This product was manufactured by EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company and distributed by VB Group Trading Service Co., Ltd.

The recall serves an investigation into the manufacturing and trading of counterfeit goods, specifically products once advertised by singer Doan Di Bang. Authorities are seeking the return of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen from batches produced on 16/4/2024, 25/6/2024, and 13/7/2024.

Police urge any organizations or individuals who purchased products from these batches to contact the Dong Nai Police Economic Crime Investigation Department immediately to provide the items and assist with the ongoing investigation.

In 11/2025, Dong Nai Police initiated legal proceedings against Nguyen Quoc Vu, husband of singer Doan Di Bang, and two other individuals. They are being investigated for manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods, specifically accused of producing 1.652 fake Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreens.

Initial investigations revealed that EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (EBC Company) is effectively owned by Dinh Van Lien, despite his official title as Deputy General Director. EBC Company collaborated with VB Group Trading Service Co., Ltd. (VB Group Company) in Ho Chi Minh City for the production of Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen. Nguyen Quoc Vu serves as the General Director and owner of VB Group Company.

In 1/2025, EBC Company produced and sold 1.652 units of counterfeit Hanayuki Sunscreen Body sunscreen. A forensic assessment by the Criminal Science Institute in Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that the sunscreen's sun protection factor (SPF) was 25,82, which is only 51,64% of the SPF 50 stated on the packaging.
