At 1:30 pm on 26/7, a man parked his five-seat car along National Highway 20, near Tan Phu commune. While waiting for a relative to return from the market across the street, a young man wearing a mask suddenly opened the car door, threatened him with a knife, and demanded money.
Under duress, the driver handed over a wad of cash but was still stabbed in the leg. He then shouted for help and chased after the robber.

After running a short distance, the robber held his knife to the neck of a 60-year-old man sitting on a motorbike by the roadside, demanding a ride. The man refused and grabbed the knife, suffering a cut to his hand in the process.
Several people, including the victims, then apprehended the robber and handed him over to the police. "I asked him how much money he needed and gave it to him, yet he still stabbed me, so I chased him," the driver said.
Tan Phu police are currently taking statements and investigating the incident.
