Teenager investigated for robbery after taking abandoned motorcycle

While chasing a rival group, 16-year-old Le Huu Hien saw an abandoned motorcycle and took it home.

An Giang provincial police detained Hien on 19/7 on suspicion of robbery.

On the night of 17/7, Hien, along with Ngo Quoc Khang, Pham Mai Huu Loi, and Vu Tien Hoang (aged 14 to 21), rode two motorcycles while carrying knives and a spear to confront 17-year-old Tran Hong Chan Vu.

Vu was playing video games with friends. As he left the shop, Hien's group ambushed and chased them. Authorities allege that as Vu's group fled, Hien saw Le Vo Hoang Anh's abandoned motorcycle and decided to take it home.

Hoang Anh returned to the shop and discovered his motorcycle was missing. Hien confessed to taking the motorcycle when questioned by the police. The motorcycle has been recovered.

The investigation is ongoing.
