The investigation revealed that on the evening of 4/7/2024, Y Phan Nie was punched in the face by Bya, 19, at a billiards parlor in Buon Buor, Hoa Phu Commune, following a dispute.
Angered, Y Phan Nie asked his friend Nguyen Phu Qui, 18, to gather others to retaliate against Bya. Qui created a group chat, inviting over 30 people to discuss and plan the attack, preparing weapons.
The following night, Y Phan Nie's group rode motorcycles, armed with machetes, pig-sticking knives, swords, Molotov cocktails, and beer bottles, to Bya's house. Along the way, they repeatedly shouted and revved their engines. Seeing their rival drinking with several people at a friend's house, the group launched their attack.
The ensuing brawl caused chaos in the residential area. Y Phan Nie's group fled, mistakenly injuring two passersby. When they saw the local militia, security personnel, and commune police patrolling, they threw beer bottles at the officers.
The investigative agency immediately launched an investigation, identifying the actions of the 15 suspects.
