Three arrested for illegally printing 21,000 books

Tran Nang Tien and two others are accused of organizing the printing of 21,000 books without proper authorization for publication or reprinting.

On 26/9, Tran Nang Tien, 46, Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong, 65, and Le Dang Khoi, 43, were arrested by TP HCM Police for violating regulations on publishing activities, under Article 344 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, since early 2025, Phuong asked Khoi to arrange the printing of 10 publications, totaling 21,000 copies, despite not having obtained publishing or reprinting licenses from competent authorities.

Khoi received the digital book files from Phuong and then forwarded them to Tran Chau Phuc Commercial Printing Co., Ltd., managed by Tien, to print the books as requested.

Investigating authorities determined that the actions of Phuong, Khoi, and Tien show signs of committing the crime of violating regulations on publishing activities.
