Phu Tho provincial police arrested three suspects on 22/7: Nguyen Van Son and Hac Van Phuc, both 24, and Do Minh Huy, 18.
On 16/7, Tam Dao commune police received a report that two women, aged 18 and 19, were stopped by a group of men while traveling down from the Tam Dao resort area (formerly Vinh Phuc province) late at night. The victims were threatened with weapons, robbed, and sexually assaulted.
The suspects also used photos of the victims to threaten their families and demand money.
On the afternoon of 22/7, Tam Dao commune People's Committee commended the commune police and the provincial Criminal Police Department for their excellent work in combating crime.
