Tu’s body was discovered in the living room of her home in Binh An 1 village early on the morning of 2/8, according to To Minh Chanh, chairman of the Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune People's Committee (UBND). She had a head injury, suggesting a forceful impact caused her death.

Investigators found bloodstains leading from the yard into the living room. Household items were also disturbed, indicating a possible struggle.

Tu lived in a densely populated area near her relatives. She worked as a farmer and had one child who currently works away from home. She had previously lived with a man who has not been seen recently.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
