Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, 23, was processed by Cao Lanh Ward Police on 22/5 for stealing gold from her close friend. Ha admitted to taking 18 chi of 24K gold and a 1,1 chi 18K necklace on 18/5, selling them to cover her debts.

The theft was reported on 19/5 by Chau Ngoc Han, 23, who stated that approximately 280 million VND worth of gold had been stolen from her rented room on Tran Te Xuong street, Hoa Khanh hamlet.

Police investigated the scene and reviewed Han's relationships, which led them to identify Ha as a suspect. Ha was subsequently invited to the station for questioning.
