The 33-year-old yoga instructor, originally from Venezuela and now living in Florida (USA), has a 45 cm waist, significantly smaller than the average 94 cm waist of American women.
To achieve her hourglass figure, she has worn a corset almost constantly for nearly two decades. Avendano's goal is to break the world record held by 86-year-old Cathie Jung, who has a 38 cm waist.
Medical experts warn that continuous waist training can cause breathing difficulties, compress organs, and lead to muscle atrophy. "My internal organs have shifted to accommodate the corset, and my health is perfectly normal," Avendano said.

Her tiny waist makes shopping difficult, requiring Avendano to have her clothes custom-made. "It's a huge investment. Honestly, my body should be insured," she said of the costs of body modifications, treatments, and food.
In addition to waist training, Avendano has spent 622,000 USD on cosmetic procedures, including seven breast augmentations, four nose jobs, and porcelain veneers. She believes that "all women should have cosmetic surgery to be truly beautiful".

Despite criticism for "promoting an unrealistic body image," Avendano has developed her own line of corsets and shapewear. She encourages people to start with 6 hours of wear per day and gradually increase, believing that persistence will bring changes within a few months.
Avendano says she doesn't remember her former figure. She acknowledges receiving mixed reactions. Some follow her journey, expressing admiration for her unique physique. Others disapprove, condemning her excessive use of cosmetic procedures and an unhealthy lifestyle that they believe influences young people's perceptions.
However, the 33-year-old remains unfazed. She claims that not only men but also women "find it hard to resist" her figure.
