Nha Trang hotels fully booked for VnExpress Marathon

Hotels in Nha Trang reported over 90% occupancy during the week of the VnExpress Marathon, with many offering special deals for runners.

Many hotels near the beach and in the city center of Nha Trang reported occupancy rates exceeding 90% during the week of August 18-25, the period of the VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025. This surpasses the average summer occupancy rate of 75-80%.

According to Nguyen Thi Thuong, Vice President of the Khanh Hoa Hotel Association and Managing Director of Annova Nha Trang Hotel, the full bookings were concentrated in accommodations near Tran Phu Beach and central streets due to the influx of runners and their families and friends attending the race.

To accommodate the nearly 40,000 expected visitors, the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with the Tourism Association, collaborated with hotels to offer special deals. In addition to discounted room rates, many hotels added spa services for post-race recovery, special runner menus before and after the race, and discounted packages for island tours and local cultural experiences for runners and their families.

Participating hotels ranged from 3- to 4-star establishments. Rosaka Nha Trang (Nguyen Thien Thuat Street) offered rates from 650,000 VND per night for one or two guests, with a 300,000 VND surcharge for a third guest. TND Hotel (Le Loi Street) offered rates of 500,000 VND for double rooms and 700,000 VND for triple rooms.

Dendro Hotel (Tran Phu Street) offered rates ranging from 400,000 to 600,000 VND depending on room type. Seaside Boutique (Dong Da Street) offered rates of 700,000 VND per night for two guests, with a 250,000 VND surcharge for a third guest, limited to five rooms from 24/8 to 26/8.

Gibson Nha Trang (Bac Nha Trang) offered standard rooms for two guests at 430,000 VND from 7/8 to 26/8. Other hotels like Canary Hotel and Melyna Nha Trang Beach Hotel also offered promotions.

To qualify for the discounts, runners needed to present their registration confirmation emails from the organizers. The discounts were valid during the peak period of the race, from 22/8 to 26/8, depending on the hotel.

Thuong stated that Khanh Hoa's administrative expansion has created opportunities to develop a diverse range of coastal destinations in central Vietnam. This helps distribute tourists more evenly, reducing pressure on Nha Trang during peak season.

The VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025 attracted 13,000 runners. The race took place on the morning of 24/8, along the coastal route crossing Tran Phu Bridge, Tram Huong Tower, and Luong Son Pass. The event concluded the summer series of VnExpress Marathons, catering to runners who enjoy combining travel and sports.
