Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park opens

The new retail space, spanning over 2,800 square meters, adopts a compact general merchandise store and supermarket model to cater to the daily shopping needs of urban residents.

Aeon Vietnam opened Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park on 27/11. Located at Block A - Lot H8, Midori Park Square Commercial Area, Ly Thai To Street, Binh Duong Ward, TP HCM, the shopping area covers over 2,800 square meters. It features two main sections: a compact general merchandise store and supermarket spanning over 1,500 square meters, and a Delica food court nearly 500 square meters in size.

Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park offers a diverse range of products tailored to modern families. Consumers can find ready-to-cook items like organic meat, fish, vegetables, and frozen foods, helping save cooking time. The supermarket also features selected fruits, health-conscious foods, and traditional products. Personal care, beauty, and household cleaning items are regularly stocked. Exclusive "Aeon-only" products are available, notably the Topvalu private label and the Home Coordy home goods line, known for their minimalist and practical designs.

The Delica area, with seating for around 80 people, is themed to provide diverse culinary options. Products are readily available, allowing customers to choose according to their preferences and save time. The Delica area also offers famous dishes from various cultures, including Japanese cuisine (sushi and bento), Vietnamese dishes, and Korean specialties (topokki and odeng fish cakes). Sushi is an Aeon signature product, with a self-service counter offering many varieties from fish, shrimp, and roe to rich sets. Bento provides convenient lunchbox options, and the bakery offers trendy cakes and sweets like matcha and chocolate.

To enhance the shopping experience, Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park integrates modern technology and new conveniences like AI scales and a Face ID locker system. All POS cashier counters are synchronized to support payment for all product types, ensuring quick and convenient transactions for customers.

Technological utilities are also integrated into the self-ordering kiosks (SOK) and semi-self cashiers (SSC), contributing to a smart and seamless shopping journey and improving customer experience.

According to Tezuka Daisuke, a member of the group's executive board, Chief Representative of Aeon Group in Vietnam, and General Director of Aeon Vietnam, the Vietnamese retail market has significant room for development, with modern retail channels currently accounting for only 12-15% of the market share. In 2024, Aeon in Vietnam recorded a revenue increase of 120% compared to the same period, continuing to be the fastest-growing market outside Japan in the region. This result stems from a strategy of diversifying retail models and expanding the ecosystem of sales points nationwide.

The opening of Aeon Binh Duong Midori Park is a step forward in expanding the compact general merchandise store and supermarket model into new urban areas, aiming to more than three-fold its scale by 2030.
