Couple accused of being AI generated

For Anita Wing Lee, marrying 1.2m-tall Timothy Muttoo was the best decision of her life, despite online speculation that their photos are AI-generated.

Anita, who is 1.63m tall, met Tim through a mutual friend in Toronto in 2021. They quickly realized they were compatible.

The Asian woman is an entrepreneur, director, and presenter, always striving to create thought-provoking content and live a purposeful life. Tim is an engineer and co-founder of a charitable foundation.

Despite their compatibility, the height difference initially led Anita to see Tim only as a good friend. However, Tim soon developed feelings for her and expressed his love.

For a long time, Anita wondered, "How could I love a 1.22m-tall man?" She once drafted a "just friends" text but immediately regretted sending it, realizing her heart was already engaged.

During this period, she struggled internally, unsure whether to choose her feelings for Tim or his appearance. One day, remembering the love story of motivational speaker Nick Vujicic and his wife Kanae, Anita decided to read their book. Questions like "Do you feel a spark, a connection, a strong attraction not just based on appearance but also on personality and qualities?" and "Do you see yourself happier with this person than anywhere else life takes you?" led her to an epiphany.

"I realized how much I liked him," she said.

From then on, Anita began to reciprocate Tim's feelings. Spending time together, she realized life with Tim was even better than she had imagined.

He possessed all the qualities she desired in a husband: kindness, thoughtfulness, vision, and depth. "Those are the qualities I wish for in a partner; 'tall' has never been one of them," Anita said.

However, since becoming a couple, they have faced many challenges, including social media prejudice about their appearance. "We often have to explain that our photos aren't AI-generated," she said.

At the end of 28/4/2024, Tim proposed to Anita, and they married in June of this year.

The businesswoman stated that appearance is superficial; what matters is the heart, soul, and how they treat each other and others.

"Now I find his height endearing and a sweet bonus in our lives," she said, adding, "If you're still waiting for your other half, they may not be what you envisioned, and that's the most wonderful thing."
