Nguyen Xuan Trung, born in 1992, said his whole family was surprised when they received the news of his win. It was the first time he had won such a large sum of money, simply by drinking Khong Do Green Tea, a favorite beverage of his and his family for many years.

"My mother runs a small grocery store, and amidst a variety of drinks, our family only prefers Khong Do Green Tea because of its unique delicious flavor from Thai Nguyen tea leaves. Whenever we feel tired or need refreshment, we choose this product. At work, my colleagues and I also always choose this drink during stressful times," Trung shared.

On 7/7, the "Khong Do, stress-free summer" promotion held a livestream on its fanpage to randomly select two first-prize winners of 100 million VND each and eight second-prize winners of a 20 million VND voucher each. After the draw, the organizers checked the system data against the codes and phone numbers sent to participate in the promotion and confirmed Nguyen Xuan Trung as the first grand prize winner.

Unlike most previous winners who were often skeptical and worried about scams, Trung said that when they received the notification, his family immediately believed it. "My mother sells groceries, my sister works in marketing, and Khong Do Green Tea is one of the largest bottled tea brands in Vietnam, so my family believed it was real without any hesitation," he said.

Trung has two young children, one and 2.5 years old, and currently lives with his parents. Life as a factory worker is challenging, and sometimes when money is tight or before payday, he has to borrow money to buy milk for his children. Therefore, 100 million VND is a significant amount for his small family.

Sharing his plans after receiving the money, he said he will give it to his wife to cover living expenses, mainly to buy milk, pay for his children's vaccinations, and contribute to the monthly household expenses with his mother.

In addition to Nguyen Xuan Trung winning the first prize, in recent days, the organizers have also awarded many second prizes of a 20 million VND voucher each to lucky winners. Among them are Phan Thi Hoi (born in 1977, Yen Thanh, Nghe An); Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran (born in 2007, residing in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang); Nguyen Thi Bich Lien (born in 1988, An Truong commune, Vinh Long); and Hua Thi Ngoc Giau (born in 1988, Vinh Thuan Dong commune, Can Tho).
