Following the merger with Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa's tourism products have become more diverse, combining islands and beaches with eco-cultural experiences. Besides Nha Trang beach, which has repeatedly been ranked among the world's most beautiful beaches, visitors can explore new destinations like Ninh Thuan vineyards, Vinh Hy bay, and Nui Chua national park. This expanded range of experiences also increases options for sports tourism.
In May, Nha Trang, the tourism hub of Khanh Hoa, was ranked 11th by the Mastercard Economics Institute (MEI) in the list of the top 15 summer destinations worldwide in 2025. It was the only Vietnamese representative in the ranking.
Khanh Hoa's tourism recovery reflects Vietnam's overall growth trend. According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam welcomed over 12.2 million international visitors in the first 7 months of the year, a record high, increasing by nearly 23% compared to the same period in 2024, and surpassing the pre-pandemic peak in 2019. In July, the number of international arrivals reached 1.56 million, comparable to the 2019 peak season, even though July is typically the low season.

Major markets include China, South Korea, Taiwan, the US, and Japan. Notably, Russia recorded the highest growth, tripling year-on-year, becoming the primary driver of Vietnam's summer tourism. European countries like Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and the UK also saw significant increases thanks to the unilateral visa exemption policy. This is a positive sign for Khanh Hoa, as the province boasts beaches favored by Russian and European tourists.
