The campaign, running from 25/8 to 3/9, saw 3.5 million users change their profile interfaces and create AI avatars. This success can be attributed to several factors, primarily its alignment with the wave of patriotism surrounding the National Day holiday. This sentiment resonated on Vietnam's most popular messaging platform, Zalo, which boasts over 78.3 million regular users.

A previous "Proudly Vietnam" campaign, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, set a Zalo record with 5 million participants. This relaunched campaign, marking its return after over 4 months, has proven equally impressive.
Importantly, the campaign provides user-friendly, modern experiences that help convey and spread patriotism and national pride. Whether users were among the crowds in Hanoi or watching the celebrations remotely, they could easily express their national pride with a few taps on their smartphones, adding a touch of the national flag to their online presence.

Besides adopting the patriotic interface via a banner on the main screen, users could choose from 15 themes showcasing Vietnam's cultural beauty, people, landscapes, national flag, and modern life.
A new feature since the previous campaign 4 months ago, the AI avatar generator, proved particularly popular. Approximately 7.9 million AI avatars were created by 3/9. This feature allowed users to leverage AI technology to express their patriotism digitally, creating avatars adorned with the national flag and positioned in front of famous Vietnamese landmarks. The avatars also conveyed the message "Nurturing the young buds of the nation," a theme from campaign partner Nutifood GrowPLUS+.

Zalo's campaign is part of the larger "Proudly Vietnam - Painting the internet red" initiative launched by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information. Across digital platforms, Vietnamese citizens displayed the national flag and shared patriotic messages in various forms. Other platforms within the Zalo ecosystem, such as Zing MP3 and Zalo Video, also participated by launching patriotic music playlists and promoting National Day-themed videos.
Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, stated that this was the first large-scale, unified effort by Zalo and Vietnamese game companies to celebrate National Day globally. The campaign, embraced by the public and recognized by government agencies, demonstrates the power of Vietnamese technology and digital platforms to inspire patriotism and promote the country's image creatively.
