Director Le Quang Tu Do of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information made this statement at the launch ceremony for Vietnam iContent 2025 on the afternoon of 10/9. He noted that Vietnam iContent 2025 is taking place amidst increased scrutiny of online influencers. This has caused concern among KOLs, KOCs, and management companies.
"Many people have confided in us that they are hesitant to continue in this profession, especially KOCs, due to the high level of risk," he said. In response, the Director affirmed that Vietnam iContent 2025 will be an opportunity for authorities to address these concerns, answer questions, offer encouragement, and support the community of digital content creators in navigating this new career path.
"This is a legitimate profession. The government does not restrict its development," Mr. Do emphasized.

Following the first Vietnam iContent in 2024, a community of KOLs and KOCs has been connected with regulatory bodies, digital platforms, and brands. This year's program, themed "Radiant Vietnam," aims to generate positive content, foster national pride, encourage innovation, and affirm the role of creators in shaping the country's image.
The Director highlighted that since 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications has initiated a campaign to connect content creators, KOLs, and KOCs with media agencies, businesses, and management units to build a safe and healthy online environment. Several impactful communication campaigns have been launched.
According to Mr. Do, the online landscape has transformed significantly in just three years. Positive and valuable content has become mainstream on social media platforms, replacing the harmful content that once prevailed.
"Clear evidence of this is the outpouring of positive content during the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day and the 80th anniversary of National Day. This positive flow came not only from KOLs and KOCs but also from the public—what we call citizen journalism," Mr. Do stated. Given these positive signs, he affirmed that Vietnam iContent 2025 will continue to thrive, bringing excitement, originality, and guaranteed success.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Chi, Public Policy Manager at Meta, added that this is the second consecutive year Meta has partnered with Vietnam iContent. This year's theme inspires digital content creators to produce more positive material. Meta is also launching new AI tools for content creators, including a Vietnamese language database and open-source codebase.

The program also includes a series of activities for content creators. Insight Out talkshows (September-October) will share perspectives from regulatory bodies, platforms, businesses, advertising agencies, multi-channel networks (MCNs), and content creators. Guests will discuss strategic thinking, social impact, and the social responsibility of content creation.
Creator Camp, organized by Meta in mid-September in Ho Chi Minh City, is designed as a creative space where hundreds of content creators can meet, network, and interact. They will participate in various sharing and interactive activities.

In addition to announcing the activities, the organizers also addressed concerns from the press. Given the recent criticism of some influencers for inappropriate or even illegal behavior, Vietnam iContent has prepared measures to handle any award-winning KOLs or KOCs who violate ethical standards or laws. Those who violate these standards will be stripped of their awards and their names removed from media coverage. "This award honors the positive values that content creators bring to the community, so we have a responsibility to ensure the prestige and value of the award," said Ms. Bui Thanh Van, Editorial Secretary of VnExpress Newspaper, representing the Vietnam iContent 2025 jury.
Vietnam iContent honors individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to the field of digital creation while also creating opportunities for networking, learning, and connection. The event is co-organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, the Ministry of Information and Communications, VnExpress Newspaper, and FPT Online.
